Nestled within Zilker Park is one of Austin's most popular swimming holes, Barton Springs Pool. This impressive 3 acre pool is spring-fed and stays at a cool ~68 degress year-round. While many Austinites retreat from the Texas heat in the summer, you can go for a swim any time of year as it is open year-round.

Blanco State Park offers is 104.6 acre park along the Blanco River in Blanco County. The land was deeded by private owners in 1933 before the park in 1934. Activities include:

Deep Eddy Swimming Pool is the oldest swimming pool in Texas. It is a man-made, spring-fed, historic swimming pool with a rich history in Austin, including being a resort in the 1920's. It is now operated by the City of Austin. Recent renovations include expanding the shallow end for a zero depth entry for small children, new pool bottom, new decks,wells and more.

Mabel Davis District Park is operated by the City of Austin and is home to Austin's first skate park. This 12,000 square-foot skate park opened in late-2005 and includes a skate bowl, streetscape elements and a grassy area for onlookers.
