The Girl Scouts of Central Texas gives girls the chance to develop a strong sense of self and a personalized leadership style.
The Three Keys to Leadership:
- Discover-Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world around them
- Connect-Girls care about, inspire and team with others locally and globally
- Take Action-Girls act to make the world a better place
All Girl Scout programs incorporate these three keys to leadership. Girl Scout experiences also incorporate learning by doing(experiential learning) and cooperative learning.
Four Focus Areas:
- Green-encouraging girls to take action for their environment
- Strong-girls rising to occasion in various circumstances
- Creative-collaboration with businesses and organizations that promote artistic expression
- Tech-Girl Scout STEM and EDGE programs where girls explore science, technology, engineering and math
Program Center Hours:
Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-6pm
Fridays 8:30am-3pm
