Dance Discovery's goal is to foster an appreciation for the wonders of dance by nurturng the creative spirit of young dancers. Dancers learn careful precision through these early explorations of dance. Students train in a variety of different of dance forms including jazz, tap, hip-hop and more with the focus on ballet as the foundation for other forms of dance. Dance Discovery also offers a Fine Arts Preschool, Daycare classes at several Austin area daycares, Dance Academy, Public classes and summer camps.

We went to a Princess Party at Dance Discovery and my kids really enjoyed it. They had costumes for the kids to dress up in as soon as we got there(princess for my daughter, knight for my son) and then they took them into the studio for a ballet lesson which they accompanied with a story. They called it story time ballet. The teacher was really sweet and animated with the kids. She incorporated a lot of props(scarves, wands, etc.) and games into the lesson so it kept the kids engaged the entire time. The whole party was about an hour. Most of the parents watched from behind a two way mirror. I really liked that because had I stayed in the room my 2 year old would not have left my side. They also do the same thing for their dance classes. The studio is clean and bright and they have a cute little waiting area in the front with a basket of toys for younger kids. I'm looking forward to enrolling my kids in some of the dance classes....more
