The Austin Fire Museum is located at Austin's Central Fire Station Number 1 in the heart of downtown Austin. It's the city's busiest fire station which includes Quint 1, Engine 1, Engine 13, Austin EMS Medic 6, and the AFD Shift Commander. The station was built in 1938 and is a piece of history in and of itself. The museum features relics from as far back as the 1870's including:
- hook and ladder no. 1 lantern
- uniforms from the turn of the century
- memorabilia from Texas' first African American firefighters and MORE!
